The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that as of August 2019, as many as 383 thousand people were unemployed. The figure, according to North Sumatra (Rev. A Pratomo's Economic Observer has decreased compared to February 2019 which previously reached 414 thousand inhabitants.
To that end, the North Sumatra Provincial Government and the Central Government must open new jobs and reduce the number of unemployment in this area. One of them is required private or foreign investment in North Sumatra.
"This foreign investment is a hope for greater employment opportunities. Then there is training for new entrepreneurs or expanding their businesses. If market demand increases, production will also increase, so new workers will be needed," Wahyu said, Monday (11/11) ).
