Berhala Island is an island in North Sumatra - Indonesia, precisely in the Tanjung Beringin district of Serdang Bedagai Regency. This island is the outermost island of Indonesia in the Straits of Malacca. The island, which is rich in bahar root forest, stores various types of coral reefs (Intertidal Coral Reef and Central Coral) within a radius of 200 m from the shoreline of no less than 22 species and species of reef fish can be seen of 11 species, if you dive there. Its area is 2.5 km². The idol has a mountainous topography with dense forests and clean white beaches. At the beginning and end of the year, the coast of Pulau Berhala becomes a haven for sea turtles to lay eggs. The name of the Berhala Island is taken from the name of the former king of Jambi namely Datuk Paduko Berhala whose tomb is found on the island. 

Berhala Island is quite unique in its name. The area of ​​the island is around 2.5 hectares. The condition of the island is very natural and already has a population. At present the island is guarded by the Indonesian National Army Navy. 

Currently there are facilities such as resorts, fishing, rides for sea games, and hotels for tourists who visit there.
