Rahmat International Wildlife Museum and Gallery is a museum inspired by Dr. H Rahmatsyah who has a love of nature and his intention to prevent the extinction of rare animals. The museum which is located in Petisah Hulu Village, West Medan, Medan has the same concept of establishment as the Safari Club International (SCI), namely "Conservation by use". And this museum was inaugurated on May 14, 1999 by the Minister of Education and Culture Prof. Dr. Juwono Sudarsono.


For collections collected from legal hunting or animals that die in zoos, giving friends or buying legally from various countries. The number of collections in this museum is around 500 animals. Which are presented in specific themes according to the type of animal and its habitat. For the theme, including:

  • African Big Five, a theme featuring five of the largest mammals, namely elephants, white rhinos, lions, bulls and leopards
  • Birds Kingdom displays various types of birds
  • Bear Room displays various types of bears, tropical and Antarctic regions
  • Mountain of Goats Night Safari, the display is presented in the form of the life of various types of goats at night
  • Indonesian Species
  • African Room
